Board Treasurer: Bob Koester
I grew up in Rutherford, NJ. While at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia I became a busy free-lance musician including playing and recording with the Philadelphia Orchestra, two opera companies, a ballet company, several Broadway shows, and numerous recording sessions. We moved to Las Vegas where I was in the house bands at the Desert Inn, Tropicana, and Union Plaza Hotels.
Leaving music for commercial banking I became a commercial lender specializing in companies experiencing financial stress. In all, I’ve worked with over 3 billion dollars of loans in difficult financial condition. That has left me sensitive to the importance of a business having good, accurate financial information. I plan to use that sensitivity to help Benilde Hall in its very important mission.
